Team owner signs lease to move Mobile BayBears to Madison

MOBILE, AL (WALA) -

The City of Madison has finalized a deal for a new minor league baseball stadium that will be the future home of the BayBears. 

Madison city leaders and Mayor Paul Finley signed the lease, license, and management agreement with BallCorps LLC.

BallCorps LLC purchased the Mobile BayBears club in 2017 and has announced its intent to move the team.

The team will play the 2018 and 2019 seasons in Mobile before moving to Madison for the 2020 baseball season.
