CAUGHT IN THE ACT: Group takes motorcycle that is later found wrecked

Posted: Updated:

FOX10 News is committed to putting the spotlight on people “Caught in the Act”. Each week, we work with local law enforcement to show surveillance video in the hopes you can help crack the case.

Mobile Police are looking for a group caught taking a motorcycle from a home in Theodore.

The home surveillance video shows a man opening up the front gate in broad daylight. A truck backs onto the property and gets stuck on the gate for a few seconds as the driver tries to reposition.

Then two men get out and reappear on the screen with a motorcycle from the carport. A woman climbs through the back window of the truck and helps pull the bike into the bed before they all drive off.

The victim, who doesn't want to show his face, took to social media. Less than 24-hours later, someone called him, saying they found the bike spray-painted and ditched on the side of the road.

"The bike was in a wreck,” said the homeowner. “I don't know if they didn't know how to drive it or what, but there was a helmet sitting beside the motorcycle, and it’s got blood in the helmet.”

He is concerned that the trio was bold enough to come to his house just a few minutes before his family came home. That's why he wants you to take a good look at the video, and if you recognize the people or the truck, call Mobile Police.
