CAUGHT IN THE ACT: Saraland Electronic Store Break-In

Posted: Updated:

FOX10 News is committed to putting the spotlight on people “Caught in the Act”. Each week, we work with local law enforcement to show surveillance video in the hopes that you can help crack the case.

Saraland Police are looking for two young men accused of breaking into an electronics store, but leaving empty-handed.

It happened around 5 a.m. on January 11 at a popular phone store in Saraland.

"They smashed a window to get inside,” said Detective Collette Little. “They went straight back to the safe room. The safes were locked and they weren't able to access anything in there. We don't believe they took anything in that room."

The video then shows them walking back onto the sales floor.

"They start pulling on display items and try to pull them apart from the security devices they are connected to, but they were unable to get them apart,” said Little. "They were only in the store for not even a minute."

The video ends right before they run out of the story. Detective Little says she believes the alarm scared them off before they could take anything. Their exact ages are unknown, but it is believed they could be teenagers.

Although they left empty-handed, investigators are hoping you can help identify these guys before they have a chance to do it again.

"The business was in an open place near a main road. People driving by could've seen if they were driving by, so these people were very bold to break a window and enter where anybody could've seen them,” said Little. “Definitely share the videos, even if you don't recognize the person. The more people who see it, the more likely we are to catch them."
