CAUGHT IN THE ACT: Couple returns to small business after taking camera

Posted: Updated:
MOBILE, AL (WALA) -

Each week, we work with local law enforcement to show surveillance video in the hopes you can help crack the case.

Mobile Police are looking for two people seen inside the Calagaz Photo store, a small business that was started in Mobile about 60 years ago.

In surveillance video, a man and woman are seen standing around a table. They look around and then look at each other before the man walks off with a $150 camera. Employees say the pair came back the next week, but left before police could get there. They did not take anything the second time.

"It's not like they are stealing from Walmart, and that's not to say that stealing anywhere is correct, but when you steal from a company like this, a small business, it's not the business that gets hurt, it's the employees,” said General Manager Aaron Pate. “You are taking away from a local economy, and local families. It's really just violating."

If you have any videos or photos of people “Caught in the Act”, we want to see them. Send an email to fox10reportit@fox10tv.com or click here, and we may show them in our newscast. Please send a case number with your email. We must be able to confirm a police report was filed.
