ESCAMBIA COUNTY, FL (WALA) -

Three men are locked up following a home invasion in which a man was held at gunpoint and his girlfriend was kidnapped, according to the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office says deputies went to the 4000 block of Ashland Avenue about 1:30 a.m. Friday after receiving a report of a home invasion.

There, they found a man who said the home invaders stole his money. He told deputies the three men held him at gunpoint and kidnapped his girlfriend, leaving in a silver Ford Edge.

During the investigation it was determined that his girlfriend’s ex-husband, Justin Cook, along with two accomplices, Jonathan Coffey and Joshua Miskimens, took the girlfriend to Seminole in Alabama, where they hid the money and guns on property that belonged to one of Coffey’s family members, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The ECSO says Cook then drove back to Florida and was spotted by a deputy in the parking lot of a convenience store in the 2200 block of W. Nine Mile Road.

The girlfriend was found to be unharmed, authorities say.

Cook was arrested and charged with robbery home invasion with a firearm, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, tampering with evidence, grand theft and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Coffey and Miskimens were also arrested and charged with robbery home invasion with a firearm, false imprisonment, tampering with evidence, and grand theft.
