MOBILE, AL (WALA) -

Officer Kenyada Taylor, a 2001 Williamson grad, is moving on to work with the FBI. To recognize her accomplishment, the school presented her with a "You Made the Difference" plaque.

Speakers at the ceremony praised Taylor for her hard work and dedication to the city of Mobile and Williamson.

Taylor said she didn't make it this far alone, and had some words of advice for current students pushing toward their future careers.

"I just want them to know, hey, you can do it. When people doubt you or don't think you are what they think you should be, you prove them wrong," said Taylor.

Mobile Police Chief Lawrence Battiste spoke at the ceremony bragging on officer Taylor's work ethic. The chief said he is proud of her and is excited for this next step in her career.
