Man charged with attempted murder after Luckie Avenue shooting and Seale Street standoff

MOBILE, AL (WALA) -

UPDATE: The victim, 19-year-old Jermond Perryman, died on May 18. James Tunstall is now charged with murder. 


Mobile Police charged a man with attempted murder after a shooting on Luckie Avenue Monday morning. 

Investigators said James Tunstall, 21, shot the victim in the head around 10:55 a.m. The victim was taken to the hospital where he's listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. 

Minutes after the shooting, Mobile Police surrounded a home a block away on Seale Street. Investigators said Tunstall barricaded himself inside for hours. 

Officers said Tunstall gave up without further incident and was arrested around 2:30 p.m.
