MOBILE COUNTY, AL (WALA) -

The Mobile County Sheriff's Office said a couple who recently lost custody of their children are wanted for questioning in their disappearance.

Investigators said 11-year-old Samantha Manning and 14-year-old Jacob Manning were taken from their grandmother's house on Mary 12. The sheriff's office said the grandmother was awarded custody of the children earlier that day. The brother and sister had been living with the grandmother for over a year due to criminal activity by the parents, identified as Sammuel Albert Manning and Alisa Dawn Manning.

According to the sheriff's office, Alisa Manning visited the children after the custody hearing and told them she would be appealing the ruling. A few hours later, the children were no longer at the grandmother's house.

If anyone has any information, they are asked to call the Mobile County Sheriff's Office at (251) 574-8633.  You may also report anonymously at www.mobileso.com/crimetips/.
