BATON ROUGE, La. -

Baton Rouge Police have arrested 33-year-old Sedrick Lewis in connection with the deadly shooting of an Eight Mile man.

Lewis was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison Wednesday on charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery in the death of 33-year-old Sirroy Young. He's being charged with first degree murder and armed robbery.

Officials say Young was shot multiple times while struggling with a suspect who was attempting to rob him at 936 North Donmoor at approximately 10:36 p.m. on Monday, June 4.

Young was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries three days later.
