MOBILE, AL (WALA) -

Photos from inside Ladd-Peebles Stadium are painting a picture of the issues that need to be fixed after a 2016 structural inspection report gave the stadium a D+ rating.

A FOX10 News viewer sent us several pictures that were taken of the light poles at the stadium, showing rust covering portions of the beams that make up the pole and in some pictures you can see holes where metal used to be.

More than $300,000 have already been spent to fix some of the issues identified in the report and now the City of Mobile is considering using even more money to fix issues, but at this point have not decided if that is going to happen.

Ann Davis, the Ladd-Peebles Board Chairman, said that she has reached out to the city and mayor for assurances that the stadium is safe for fans.

"I don't want them coming to the stadium until we receive a legal documentation from the city," she said. "I'm not going to have the liability on me. I don't think any board member would want that and nor would the Mishain Group that runs Ladd. Plus, I don't want anyone to be worried when they walk into the stadium."

Davis said she sent a letter to the mayor last month and reached out again yesterday, but as of now has not heard back.

In the letter, Davis said she wants to know how the city plans to fix all the issues outlined in the 2016 structural inspection report and whether the stadium is even safe enough to have any games or activities.

The City of Mobile told FOX10 News that if repairs are not made in a timely basis in the future, the stadium would most likely have to shut down, but at this point, the city says it is safe and there is not any immediate danger.
