MOBILE, AL (WALA) -

Court documents revealed a man accused of attacking someone with a machete in midtown Mobile Tuesday night, August 7, had just pleaded guilty one week ago to beating his ex-girlfriend.

According to the court documents, Michael Walker, 24, of Mobile, was sentenced to a year of probation for striking his ex-girlfriend so hard, he broke her ribs.

Just two days after his probation started, he allegedly attacked that same ex-girlfriend's boyfriend with a machete, and went into a standoff with police for several hours, near the corner of Sage Avenue and Emogene Street, before eventually surrendering peacefully.

Another document, posted Wednesday morning, August 8, showed walker's probation officer has now requested his probation be revoked, which could mean he'll serve a year in the county jail for the previous domestic violence charge.

As for the stabbing victim from Tuesday night's incident, police said he is in guarded condition.

FOX10 News tried reaching out to Walker's attorney for a comment, but hasn't heard back.

Walker remained in Mobile County Metro Jail Wednesday night on assault and probation violation charges.

FOX10 News will let you know when he appears in court.
