After being closed for more than eight months, the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Milton is re-opening with a new concept - Milton's Vintage Homestore.

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Milton, located at 6606 Elva St. in Milton, will celebrate with a Grand Re-Opening event Saturday, October 6 at 9:30 a.m. The Habitat for Humanity ReStore will feature vintage items for the home, such as used ornamental iron work, old wood-frame windows and doors, vintage furniture and much more.
Steve Thomas, Emmy Award-winning television personality and former host of the home improvement shows This Old House and Renovation Nation, will attend the Habitat for Humanity ReStore Grand Opening on October 6, 2012.
Thomas is recognized as the "ultimate home enthusiast" and an "expert-on-demand" on the home renovation process. As a dynamic speaker and a home renovator, Thomas advocates for greener building/renovation techniques.
The Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Milton accepts donations of home décor, home improvement and collectible items from the 1970's and older. The ReStore donation wish list includes: vintage and shabby-chic furniture, old wood frame windows/doors, old cameras and radios, vintage books and music, manual typewriters, vintage musical instruments, vintage/ retro kitchen ware, appliances and collectibles. Profits from ReStore sales are used to accomplish Pensacola Habitat for Humanity's mission of providing homeownership opportunities to low income families in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. The store also provides an environmental service by diverting usable materials from our landfills.
The Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Pensacola located at 5810 N. Palafox St. will continue to carry conventional building materials, appliances, furniture and other home improvement product.
