Chef Ben Vaughn has wrangled snakes from dining rooms and chased rats from cellars while hosting the hit show “Health Inspectors” on Food Network. Like the restaurants he has helped revive on the show, in his career chef Vaughn has seen struggles and successes.
Now, he travels the country as a teacher, hosts The World Food Championships, and is also developing a new television series that will air in the spring of 2014. He has shared his discoveries, passions, and insights which have inspired the conception of multiple restaurants, two television shows, a production company, and his soon to be released book.
Chef Vaughn is in Mobile to cook dinner at Kitchen on George with students of Culinard, the Culinary Institute of Virginia College. Since opening, Culinard has trained more than 1,000 chefs and has been consistently recognized as an exemplary program by the American Culinary Federation.
