PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Pensacola Ice Flyers are getting ready to hit the ice. You don't want to miss their season opener! They'll face the Columbus Cottonmouths at home tomorrow night.
Joe and Dani went to Pensacola to catch up with the Ice Flyers and see what's new this season.
The new head Coach of the Ice Flyers is Ron Aldoff. He tells Joe that the team is very excited to get going for their first game. Coach Aldoff played ice hockey for the University of Minnesota Duluth before playing several years of professional hockey. This is his 4th year coaching. Coah Aldoff says leading a new group of guys is a process that takes having good attitude.
Some of the team's new members told Dani some interesting facts about themselves. One team member, Joe Caveney, says he is definitely afraid of flying. Josh Turnbull is from Wisconsin, and says he's a self-taught guitar player. Mitchell Good is from Ontario and says he was once a motor-cross driver.
