“Boston Rob” Mariano, winner of Survivor: Redemption Island, is rolling up his sleeves to compete in two premier local sporting events to help raise money and awareness for childhood cancer research.
Jensen’s Heart of Gold, Inc is excited to announce that “Boston Rob” will compete in the 3rd Annual Super Slugger Softball Tournament at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex on September 7th, 2013. This adult co-ed tournament is a huge success and attracts teams from across the southeast to compete for a great cause. New this year, the foundation has added a High School Division to the bracket as well. From the experienced to the not-so-experienced softball player, this tournament is a fantastic team-building opportunity for athletes and businesses alike. Opening Ceremony begins at 8:00am. Is dodgeball more your speed? Celebrity “Boston Rob” will also participate in the 1st Annual Dodging Childhood Cancer Dodgeball Tournament on September 21st, 2013 at the Orange Beach Events Center located at the Wharf. This “no experience required” tournament will cater to the masses and give members of the community the opportunity to come out for a great competition and entertainment. While players must be 16 years old or older to play, spectators of any age are invited. Games begin at 11:00am. Awards will be given for 1st and 2nd place and for best team uniforms.
