MOBILE, Ala. - Some Apple IOS 7 users are saying Apple's new operating system is literally making them sick.
Apple's newest software animates the apps, so they fly in and out of the screen. Some say all the movement and zooms gives them motion sickness, and they're complaining on Twitter and on Apple's online forum. Right now, there's no way to turn the zoom animation off. Apple will have to release a future update to address the issue. Some were so frustrated that they downgraded to a previous operating system.
Apple is no longer allowing users to downgrade from IOS 7. For Apple tech support, call 1-800-275-2273.
A panel's recommendation to allow airline passengers to use electronic devices during take-off and landing will be presented to the FAA this week. It recommends passengers should not be allowed to make phone calls or check email, but should be able to read e-books, play music, games and watch iPad movies during takeoffs and landings (with some devices in airplane mode). The FAA would need to study the recommendations.
Engineers conducted a study to see how much electronics interfere with an airplane's system during flight. No electronic device has ever taken down a plane, but signals from devices like phones and tablets interfere with the pilots communications radio and smoke alarm, which can cause more work for the pilot during critical phases of flight.
