MOBILE, Ala. - Apple could be getting ready to introduce a device that could change the way you watch TV.
Reportedly, Apple has gotten a patent for a new iPhone-based remote control. The iPhone universal remote would be able to control and save settings for a home theater system, including everything from the lighting, channels, movies, music and even the window shades.
So far, there's no more word on rumors of a high definition Apple TV in the works. This remote control could be one step in that direction.
Tablet makers will soon compete with Nintendo. The gaming company announced it will release the Nintendo 2DS on October 12th. It's a newer version of the Nintendo 3DS, in a handheld tablet form.
It's compatible with all 3DS games and most DS games. The new 2DS also connects wirelessly for the multi-players. It will cost $130 bucks.
On September 20th, the Wii-U will go on sale, before the release of the new Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The price for a Wii-U will be cut by $50 dollars, bringing it to about $300.
Sony's new Playstation 4 will cost $400 bucks, and is due November 15th.
Microsoft hasn't announced an exact launch date for the new Xbox One. It's expected to cost $500.
