MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - UPDATE: Mobile Police arrested Daniel Huber Sunday, July 28, just 4 days after he appeared on FOX10 News Fugitive Files. He is the 569th suspect to be arrested after appearing on FOX10 News.
Mobile Police need your tips to find assault suspect Daniel Huber. Police say the incident happened on Monday, July 22, 2013 when a police officer, investigating a report of unauthorized use of a vehicle, found the vehicle on Tung Avenue.
"When [the officer] approached the car, Mr. Huber was actually inside the vehicle, had the seat reclined and as if the officer startled him, he jumped up and sprayed pepper spray at the officer," said Mobile Police Corporal Christopher Levy.
Police say Huber then drove off, crashed and ran away. Huber is 24 years old, 5 foot 11 inches tall and weighs 245 pounds. He has one previous arrest for not using a seat belt. If you know where he is, call the FOX10 News Fugitive Files/Crimestoppers Hotline at 251-208-7000.
Huber's last known address is 13065 Bellingrath Road in Theodore. The officer who was pepper sprayed had to be treated by paramedics.
