MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - On Friday, September 27, Mobile Police arrested 41-year-old Ricardo Washington and charged him with four counts of robbery first degree.
Police said the robbery spree began on September 22 when a suspect, identified as Washington, robbed Summit on Airport Boulevard around 9:30 a.m. Investigators said at 4:15 that same afternoon, Washington robbed the Chevron on Sage Avenue.
Police said Washington is also responsible for a robbery Thursday, September 26, 2013, at 10:00 p.m. at Subway restaurant on Airport Boulevard.
Officers said the spree ended when he was arrested on Friday, September 27, but not before he robbed the Shell at 3351 Spring Hill Avenue.
In each case, authorities said Washington entered the store, indicated he was armed with a gun and fled after demanding and receiving money.
He was apprehended at the 1600 block of Polk Street shortly after the Shell station robbery.
