MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - We are now three weeks into the college football season and fans are ‘fanatic’ about their respective teams.
At Bama Fever, Tiger Pride on Schillinger Road in West Mobile, shirts, hats, and more are flying off the shelves at a fast pace. FOX10 wanted to know which team is represented more: Alabama or Auburn?
According store associates, Alabama sales are up, and it seems to be a trend. Sales for Alabama gear has been up since the team won its second National Championship in January.
Calvin Weaver of Mobile is traveling to College Station this weekend for the Alabama vs Texas A&M game. He said he’s excited to get back to College Station after so many years and watch Bama have revenge on last year’s A&M win.
“Looking forward to going to the tailgating and another big win for Bama. It’ll be my youngest son and my oldest son and my buddy flying over from Birmingham that’ll meet me there. So, there will be four of us there. [I’ve been to College Station] one time about 20 years ago when they had the Hurricane Bowl that they cancelled the game. And we went to the campus anyway and went to the George Bush Library. I sure hope [the beat Texas A&M]. I didn’t think [Bama] would do anything last year, but they surprised me, so hopefully we’ll have another good year,” said Weaver.
