UPDATED on Jan. 11, 2023: A 30-year-old man was arrested late Tuesday following an incident that led to a manhunt in Toulminville.

Mobile police arrested Trey Hendon arrested for several outstanding warrants but has since been released.

According to police, officers were in the area of Wellington Street conducting an investigation around 8:40 p.m. While in the area, officers observed a vehicle of interest occupied by three males turning onto Bullen Street. As officers tried to approach Bullen Street, they heard several shots fired.

Police said two passengers exited the vehicle before officers stopped it. The driver was detained at Stanton and Holland Street.

No one was injured and no property was struck by gunfire, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile Police are looking for potential suspects after shots were fired in the Toulminville area Tuesday night.

The call came in just before 9:00 p.m. Officers responded to Stanton Road and Bullen Street near University Hospital.

The U.S. Marshals Service along with a SWAT team unit canvassed the area until after 10 p.m. It’s unclear if anyone was taken into custody.

An abandoned vehicle was found near the scene.
