UPDATE: MPD names suspect in shooting on Overlook Road

UPDATE: MPD has identified Deanta Dubose, 19, as a suspect in the shooting at Quick Stop on Mar. 11, 2023.

Authorities said that the shooting killed one person and injured two others.

Dubosa is wanted for attempted murder, according to police.

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The Mobile Police Department confirmed officers are investigating a Saturday evening homicide at a Quick Stop Food Mart on Overlook Road.

When a FOX10 News crew got to the scene, there was a heavy police presence and at least one body on the ground. We’re also hearing another person was possibly shot.

MPD has not released any details about the crime.
