Double homicide investigation underway in Spanish Fort
Couple allegedly shot to death by son, BCSO says
BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) - Two people have died following a shooting in an unincorporated area of Spanish Fort, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.
A heavy police presence was seen as the BCSO and the Spanish Fort police arrived on the scene on McFarland Road off U.S. 31.
Deputies responded to the scene around 1:30 p.m. Saturday on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies found two victims with gunshot wounds inside the residence. Both were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the BCSO.

Based on preliminary information, authorities said they believe that 25-year-old Trinell Rayshawn Brown went to his parents’ home and confronted them about an ongoing family dispute. During the argument, Brown allegedly shot both of his parents, according to the sheriff’s office. After the shooting, Brown reportedly exited the residence and made a statement to witnesses that he killed his parents, according to authorities.
Deputies responded quickly after being notified about the homicides and took Brown into custody. Brown is charged with two counts of murder, jail records show.
