Woman convicted in Prichard shooting gets 15-year prison term

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - A Mobile woman found guilty of reckless manslaughter was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in prison for a 2020 shooting in Prichard.

Kiya Henderson was convicted last month in the New Year’s Eve 2020 shooting death of 31-year-old David Green on New Year’s Eve in Prichard.

According to court documents, Henderson shot Green on Dec. 31, 2020, at the Main Street Food Mart. Investigators said Green was found with a gunshot wound to the back.
