Man on run for months accused of shooting girlfriend during fight, then driving her to hospital

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - In this edition of the FOX10 News Fugitive Files, Mobile police need your help finding a man who’s been on the run for months.

Police say Marcus Johnson has been on the run since October 2024 in the area of Cuba and Congress streets.

Authorities say Johnson, 39, shot his girlfriend during a fight then helped her into a vehicle and drove her to the hospital. Police say once he dropped her off, he took off and hasn’t been seen since.

Johnson is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 225 pounds.

He has active warrants for domestic violence and first-degree assault.

We’re told it’s unclear if he’s still in Mobile.

He was last seen leaving the hospital in a dark blue, older model SUV.
