Ask the Sheriff: School Resource Officers

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - A new school year is just around the corner. Baldwin County Sheriff Anthony Lowery joined us on Studio10 to talk about the importance of School Resource Officers (SROs).

The SROs undergo extensive classes to prepare for a variety of situations. While they are in place to try to prevent violence, there roles go well beyond that.

Watch the video to learn the many ways the SROs are trying to positively impact our kids, our schools and our communities.
