The Jazz Studio: Open House

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The Jazz Studio, a program of The Excelsior Band Preservation, in its 11th year, is hosting an Open House at the Murphy Fine Arts Building at Spring Hill College on Saturday, August 23, 2025, 11:00 AM -1:00 PM.

The program is a year-round music instruction program with emphasis on jazz and improvisation. Students must have at least one year of music instruction and be in the 6th -12th grades. The program meets the second and fourth Saturday of each month in the Murphy Fine Arts Building at Spring Hill College. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet with other parents and students currently in The Jazz Studio. Interested students and parents are encouraged to attend.

The program is funded in part by Alabama State Councill on the Arts, Support the Arts License Tag, donations and a nominal registration fee.
