Gulf Coast Music’s “Catch of the Night” listening room shows
MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Get your tickets ready for the launch of a new listening room series on the Gulf Coast! Gulf Coast Music, a podcast and music social media channel, is showcasing its new, all-ages “Catch of the Night” series for the greater Mobile area. The next performance on October 10th will feature the Saint Social Band at Spring Hill College’s LeBlanc Room in the Student Center.
Since February, Gulf Coast Music has showcased over 100 local artists and personalities through its “Casts” (podcasts) and “Waves” (music performances) series, and this new event is its latest evolution. Music fans of all ages can reel in the musical talent from the southern scene, and bands will be able to express their music and the meaning of their songs to a more attentive audience. Note: A listening room is a respectful environment for the sole purpose of enjoying music; no alcohol or outside substances will be permitted.
This morning we were joined by Quincy, owner of Gulf Coast Music, Harper Hollis, owner of 251 Live Music, a social media platform and website promoting the local music scene with a weekly-updated calendar of who’s performing and where, and NMBG Jay, owner of Huncho Fest, a recurring independent hip-hop/r&b showcase highlighting up-and-coming artists from the local community (@251livemusic & @hunchofest24, respectively).
