ACCS: PTA Program at Bishop State

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - At Bishop State Community College, the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program is built around one core mission: preparing skilled, compassionate professionals who strengthen the health of our community.

Through hands-on training and real-world clinical experiences, our PTA students graduate workforce-ready—and the results speak for themselves. In 2025, the program achieved a 100% employment rate and a 100% first-time licensure pass rate, reflecting the quality of instruction and the commitment to student success.

Strong partnerships with local healthcare providers and an engaged advisory board made up of practicing PTA professionals ensure our curriculum stays aligned with workforce needs. These connections give students valuable opportunities to learn directly from industry experts and build relationships that extend beyond the classroom.
