NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - When the Saints prepared for the second night of the 2026 NFL Draft, Georgia was on their mind.

With a Top 10 pick in Round One on Thursday night, the Saints found a new weapon for second-year quarterback Tyler Shough by taking Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson.

Early in the Second Round on Friday (April 24), the Saints shifted their focus to defense by selecting defensive tackle Chisten Miller at No. 42 overall early in the Second Round.

Last season, Miller was First Team All-SEC and was ranked the fourth-best returning interior lineman in college football by Pro Football Focus heading into his senior season.

Miller finished 2025 with 23 tackles, 10 solo, and four tackles for a loss total of 12 yards. Miller also had 1.5 sacks and 23 quarterback hurries.

The 6′4 and 310 lbs. defensive lineman is a Georgia native out of Cedar Grove High School, where he was a four-star recruit.

Round 3

At No. 37 overall, the Saints selected another standout from the Georgia roster, tight end Oscar Delp.

In 2022, Delp was on the Bulldog National Championship team. He has 70 career receptions, 854 career receiving yards, and nine career touchdowns. He played a total of 55 games at Georgia.

Scouts consider Delp a durable player who excels in blocking but has shown enough potential in the receiving game to produce more at a higher level. Delp joins a tight end depth chart that includes Juwan Johnson, free agent signing Noah Fant, and there are questions surrounding the future of Swiss Army Knife Taysom Hill.

Round 4

At No. 132 overall, using a pick acquired from the Seattle Seahawks, the Saints moved to beef up their offensive line with the selection of Auburn guard Jeremiah Wright.

The 6-5, 331-pound Wright is a converted defensive lineman who spent the last three seasons as a guard with the Tigers. Saints quarterback Tyler Shough quickly approved the choice.

Four picks later, the Saints were on the board again with the 136th overall pick. They used this selection on North Dakota State wide receiver Bryce Lance, a speedster who ran a 4.34 40 at the NFL combine.
