The Saints opened the draft Friday by selecting Arizona State receiver Jordan Tyson, who some consider the best receiver in the draft class.

New Orleans then took back-to-back Georgia Bulldogs. Defensive lineman Kristen Miller, who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 321 pounds, is expected to join the defense immediately. The Saints followed with Georgia tight end Oscar Delp in the third round. Delp is expected to contribute as both a pass catcher and blocker.

“Man, I love the city. I love them glazed beignets. I got to stay away from them, though. I got to stay away from them. I’m going to kind of just portion that out a little bit. But I love the city of New Orleans, man. It’s a city of camaraderie,” Miller said.

“It’s been a roller coaster. Got a lot of family, a lot of friends here. But I’m so blessed. I’m so excited. Can’t wait to get there,” Delp said.

Delp said some of his family is from Louisiana.

“My aunt and my uncle are from Louisiana. So I’ve been up there a good bit. So I’m just really excited to get down there and can’t wait to get to work,” Delp said.
