AltaPointe Health: Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week
MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - May is celebrated as Mental Health Awareness Month. Our partners at AltaPointe Health are helping Studio10 shed some light on some very important topics surrounding mental health.
CHILDREN’S MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK
This week, May 3-9, is Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week – a time to recognize the importance of nurturing young minds and supporting their emotional well-being. It’s also a time for families, schools, and communities to come together to promote positive mental health, reduce stigma, and empower children to express their feelings. Nicolette Harvey, hospital administrator for BayPointe Children’s Hospital, joined Studio10 to share some ways that AltaPointe Health is doing just that.
CMHAW POSTER CONTEST
Every year, the Alabama Department for Mental Health (ADMH) hosts a statewide contest inviting young artists, particularly those receiving services from community mental health providers across Alabama, to create artwork that reflects themes of mental health awareness and acceptance. For 2026, ADMH chose an artwork piece from a young patients at BayPointe Hospital to be featured on posters across Alabama.
