TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WALA) - The road to Omaha is headed back through Tuscaloosa.

Alabama earned the No. 7 national seed in the 2026 NCAA Baseball Tournament during Monday’s selection show and will host an NCAA Regional at Sewell-Thomas Stadium for the first time since 2023.

Joining the Crimson Tide in the Tuscaloosa Regional are Oklahoma State Cowboys baseball, USC Upstate Spartans baseball and Alabama State Hornets baseball.

The four-team regional begins Friday, May 29 and runs through Monday, June 1 in a double-elimination format, with the winner advancing to the NCAA Super Regional round.

As a top-eight national seed, Alabama would also host a Super Regional at Sewell-Thomas Stadium if the Crimson Tide advance out of the regional round.

The selection marks another major step forward for an Alabama program that has continued to climb under head coach Rob Vaughn. The Crimson Tide now enters postseason play with a chance to defend home field all the way through the Super Regional round.

Alabama State adds a strong in-state storyline to the regional after the Hornets captured the SWAC Tournament championship on Sunday to punch their ticket into the NCAA Tournament field.

Fans interested in attending the Tuscaloosa Regional can purchase all-session tickets beginning Tuesday at 9 a.m. CT through RollTide.com. All-session passes are priced at $105 and include general admission along with Right Field Terrace seating.

Single-session tickets will go on sale Thursday morning for $25, while student tickets will be available for $5.

Games will be played at Sewell-Thomas Stadium on the campus of University of Alabama.
