Year 2 quite different for QB Tyler Shough with the Saints
NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Year two for Tyler Shough on Airline Drive is quite different than Year one. He’s the Saints starting quarterback, no competition anymore.
“Yeah I think it’s night and day. You come here, you’re trying to learn all these new terms. You don’t know what practice looks like. For me to have a second go-around, also have the unit, get everyone on the same page. I feel really comfortable. Now I can focus on how to dive deeper into the playbook, how I can specifically be better. For me, that’s the fun part about being a quarterback, being a part of this team, everyone is super close. We all have that same mission,” said quarterback Tyler Shough.
Shough went 5-4 as the starter last season. Now with a possible full season as the leader of the offense, the Saints can fully focus on ending their five year playoff drought.
“We need to get better as a whole team. I think that starts with the division. For me, I’m going to do whatever it takes to make this team better. I don’t have any individual goals, I want to improve on last year. I think we saw what we’re capable of, and know how we can improve that way. I think it starts with my behavior, my attitude every single day, and how I come to work,” said Shough.
