Gayle Benson celebrates Drew Brees and shares big hopes for Tyler Shough

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Saints legend Drew Brees will be enshrined into the Pro Football HOF this weekend.

Brees guided the Saints to their only Super Bowl title. A large number of the Saints family will be in Canton, including owner Gayle Benson.

“That is so special. I’m so happy for Drew. He’s worked so hard, he deserves it. I’m really happy. Of course, I’ll be there, and so many of our other executives. It’s going to be nice,” said Gayle Benson.

The Saints have been in the quarterback wilderness since Brees retired, but Tyler Shough could be a revelation for the playoff-hungry franchise.

“I was so excited to see him play so well last year toward the end of the season. Now, I have big hopes he’s going to do even better,” said Benson.
