Alleged ‘master of disguise’ armed robber facing 63 years behind bars
ATLANTA, Ga. (ANF/Gray News) - An Atlanta-area man dubbed by law enforcement as a “master of disguise” was arraigned Thursday on charges related to a monthslong armed robbery spree.
Tracy Daryl Mingo, 33, of College Park, is accused of robbing 10 local businesses and their employees between October 2025 and January 2026. According to federal prosecutors, Mingo targeted different Circle K, Subway and Family Dollar locations across College Park, Decatur, East Point, Fairburn, Marietta and Union City.
During the heist spree, Mingo allegedly disguised himself as a construction worker, a health care professional and a security guard to lower the employees’ guard before pulling a gun.
Mingo was arrested on Jan. 2, 2026, when police caught him allegedly using a similar security guard disguise to rob a Circle K the day before.
Following a federal grand jury indictment, Mingo now faces 20 counts, including Hobbs Act robbery, brandishing a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
If convicted, he faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 63 years in federal prison. He remains in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
