Rep. Drummond calls for public input on new Mobile River bridge name

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - State Rep. Barbara Drummond is asking for more public input on the name for the new Mobile River bridge.

Drummond said she will not support any legislation naming the new Interstate 10 bayway bridge unless it comes from a public process.

Drummond said in a statement:

“We deserve a bridge whose name reflects the voice, history, and pride of the people it will serve—a bridge that all of South Alabama can celebrate and proudly call our own.”
