South Alabama names Ethan Sugg as Board of Trustees Scholar

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The University of South Alabama honored the top academic incoming freshman with its Board of Trustees Scholarship as the fall semester continues.

This year’s honoree is Ethan Sugg from Fairhope High School.

Sugg graduated with a 4.5 weighted grade-point-average and scored 36 on his ACT.

He is part of a record-setting incoming freshman class at South that averages a 3.79 GPA.

Sugg is a pre-med student majoring in biochemistry and a member of the Jaguar Marching Band.

His brother, Noah, was South’s Board of Trustees Scholar two years ago.
