MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Pleasant fall conditions are expected as the Gulf Coast heads into the weekend. Mostly clear skies tonight with lows in the low 50s will set the stage for a beautiful Saturday and Sunday. While the air stays dry and comfortable with highs in the mid to upper 70s, a northeast breeze will create rough conditions in coastal waters. The extended forecast shows dry conditions continuing through the end of next week with no significant rain expected.

Tonight: Clear and Cool

Tonight will feature mostly clear skies with lows in the low 50s. This will be a pleasant evening to enjoy the fall weather, with comfortable overnight temperatures.

Saturday and Sunday: Beautiful But a Bit Breezy

Saturday and Sunday will be beautiful days with highs in the mid- to upper 70s and dry conditions throughout. However, a little increase in the breeze out of the northeast on both days will make for rough conditions in the coastal waters.

A high risk of rip currents is expected at the beaches this weekend. While it’s not the time of year that folks are doing a lot of swimming, it’s important to stay out of the Gulf this weekend as conditions will be too rough for safe water activities. The rough surf and strong currents make the water dangerous even for experienced swimmers.

Next Week: Gradual Warming, Dry Pattern Continues

Temperatures will get back a little closer to 80 degrees next week, but no rain is expected. A few clouds will be in the picture Monday through Wednesday, but the overall pattern will remain dry and pleasant.

The combination of comfortable temperatures and dry conditions will continue to provide ideal weather for outdoor activities and continued recovery efforts from Hurricane Isaias.

Tropics: Quiet and No Threats

Everything remains quiet in the tropics. Tropical storm formation is not expected over the next seven days. The quiet tropical pattern continues to provide welcome relief for the Gulf Coast.

Extended Forecast: Dry Through End of Next Week

The long-range outlook is showing dry conditions through the end of next week. No significant precipitation is expected, and the pleasant fall weather pattern should persist.

Enjoy the nice fall weather while we have it. This is one of the best times of year on the Gulf Coast with comfortable temperatures, low humidity and abundant sunshine.
