Candace Newman

Candace was previously at WALB, a Gray station in Albany, Georgia. Candace has been the Assistant News Director and weekend anchor at WALB. She has more than a decade of experience working in newsrooms in various roles, from digital to management, behind and in front of the camera. She has formerly been a reporter, producer, and digital manager at WCTV in Tallahassee, and she was an Executive Producer in Macon and Lead Producer in Oklahoma City. She was the Assistant News Director and Executive Producer at WFTX in Fort Myers, before moving to her hometown of Albany, Georgia. She graduated from Valdosta State with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Candace is excited to move to Panama City with her husband and their dog! When not working you’ll find her on a paddleboard, in a jiu jitsu or aerial arts class, or doing something outdoors!
