Prichard is getting two new fire trucks. The Prichard City Council made a deal to buy them for about $700,000. It will take about 30 days for the new fire trucks to arrive.

A family of six in Mobile County is looking for a new place to live after a tragic house fire. But the family has a lot for which to be thankful. The Weaver family says everyone rushed outside when the fire started Thursday morning, but they panicked when they realized they couldn't get to their 72-year-old father, who is a hospice patient. Fortunately, a passerby helped rescue him. 

More drugs are off the streets after a huge drug bust in Mobile. It was part of a three-month investigation called Operation Westside. Narcotics officers confiscated marijuana, guns and $73,000 in cash. Officers targeted the Mobile Terrace community. Police arrested two women and seven men as part of the operation.

Gulf State Park's golf course in Gulf Shores is shutting down. Alabama's Department of Conservation and Natural Resources says there are lots of other golf courses in the region and it can no longer afford to fund the course. The last day of operations is December 2.
