Lundi Gras is the day before Mardi Gras day. In Mobile, there's hardly a difference between the two.

The excitement and anticipation of the big day was thick in the atmosphere around Downtown Mobile as crews rolled down the streets.

Several parades rolled Monday, including King Felix III and the Floral parade on Route A at noon bringing out 3,379 people according to Mobile Police .

MLK Business and Civic Organization, MLK Monday Mystics, Northside Merchants rolled this afternoon at 3 pm on Route D. MPD says those 3 parades brought out 101,376 people.

Monday night, Infant Mystics and Order of Doves took Route F closing out the night.

It's impossible to talk about the Lundi Gras this year in Mobile without mentioning the brisk cold air. It was a big change from the weekend but it didn't keep revelers inside.

Downtown Mobile parades continue on Mardi Gras day at 10:30 am with Order of Athena on Route A..
