Former standouts among the Auburn Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide landed assignments in pro football Saturday, as the 84th annual NFL Draft continued with the fourth round and beyond.
In the fourth round, the Carolina Panthers drafted former Alabama linebacker Christian Miller. He was taken at No. 115.
Auburn quarterback Jarrett Stidham was selected Saturday by New England in the fourth round. He was No. 133 overall in the draft.
Alabama's Deionte Thompson came in at No. 139 overall Saturday. He was selected by the Cardinals in the fifth round.
Round 5, at No. 153 overall, saw the Washington Redskins pick Alabama's Ross Pierschbacher.
Also in Round 5, at No. 155 overall, the Cleveland Browns selected Alabama's Mack Wilson.
Byron Cowart, who began his college career as a defensive end at Auburn before moving on to Maryland, was selected by the Patriots in Round 5 -- the No. 159 overall pick.
In the sixth round, Alabama's former defensive end Isaiah Buggs was chosen by the Pittsburgh Steelers, No. 192 overall.
Deshaun Davis of Mobile, a former Auburn linebacker, was picked by the Cincinnati Bengals. That's the No. 210 pick.
Former Auburn fullback Chandler Cox was the No. 233 pick overall, chosen in Round 7 by the Miami Dophins.
The No. 235 pick is former Auburn defensive tackle Dontavius Russell, who was chosen by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the seventh round.
Among results earlier in the week, the New York Jets picked Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams at No. 3 overall.
Also in the first round, former Crimson Tide guard Jonah Williams was the the 11th pick overall, going to the Cincinnati Bengals.
The same day, the Oakland Raiders picked running back Josh Jacobs of Alabama, in the No. 24 pick overall.
A pair of Alabama players were selected on the second day of the NFL Draft. Former Bama tight end Irv Smith Jr. was taken by the Minnesota Vikings with the No. 50 overall pick in Round 2.
And former Crimson Tide running back Damien Harris was selected by the New England Patriots at No. 87 in the third round on the same day.
Also in Round 3, Auburn cornerback Jamel Dean was picked for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- the 94th overall pick.
