American Rowing Team

The race has begun for team Fight Oar Die.  The group is looking to be the first all-american veteran team to row across the Atlantic Ocean.

The Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge has been challenging the boldhearted from around the world for years.  That's about 3,000 nautical miles and roughly 50 days at sea for the nearly 30 teams competing.

It's a transatlantic rowing race from La Gomera, Canary Islands, to Antigua, West Indies.

Team Fight Oar Die consists of four military veterans, including Bryant Knight who's a native of Mobile.  The goal they say is to show their fellow veterans that anything is possible -- to stop taking their lives and start living them.

The team has been photo-journaling their experience on social media, and now they want to add your voice to their timelines.  Specifically, they are soliciting "good luck" videos.  To wish them "good luck," grab a couple co-workers, friends or family and record a short video saying wishing the guys well.  After you record the video, post it to the Fight Oar Die Facebook, or Instagram page.

Incidentally, you can follow the race LIVE from your smartphone or tablet. Just download YB Races in your google or apple app store.

The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge began Wednesday, December 12 at 4:40 am (CT).
