App lets you explore human body with smartphone


If you ever wonder about the inner makings of the human body? If so...look no more. The Human Anatomy Atlas 2018 app is all about incredibly detailed images of the human body.

There's a long list of what you can do with this app. Users can explore different systems of the body like the circulatory, nervous, respiratory, or digestive systems.

There's even an augmented reality feature where you can turn any room into an anatomy lab! You can place your virtual corpse onto an actual table (or floor, or desk, or bed) in front of you, and walk around it, using your phone as a viewer.

The app includes comprehensive male and female 3D gross anatomy models, select microanatomy of tissues and organs, cadaver slices and diagnostic images that are paired with 3D cross-sections, and interactive animations of muscles and bones.

It's available in the Apple an Android app stores. It's a $24.99 download, and takes about 1.1 GB of space on your device.

The app obviously caters to healthcare professionals, students, and professors, but is also fun to play around with if you're just a fan of how the human body works.
