BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) - A man wanted on assault and robbery charges in Baldwin County was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Palm Bay, Florida.
Deputies said Jermain Dickerson, 22, took part in a shooting that happened on November 18, 2018, on Springfield Court in Bon Secour. Four people were wounded in the shootout, three of them suffered critical injuries.
Baldwin County Sheriff Hoss Mack said two brothers, Jermain and Tamarius Dickerson, along with their cousin, Royald Jones went to a home on Springfield Court. There, Mack said they confronted the Dickerson’s half-brother and resident, Jahlen Baker. Investigators said at least one shot was fired, at which time they said it turned into a shootout where at least 30 more gunshots were fired in and around the home.
Jermain Dickerson was wounded in the shootout and treated at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. After he was released, investigators said he left Baldwin County and tried to hide in Florida. He was captured on Wednesday, December 12.
Dickerson is currently being held without bond in the Orange County, Florida Corrections Center awaiting extradition back to Baldwin County.
