CITRONELLE, Ala. (WALA) -- Police said a woman was attacked and her car was stolen in a bump-and-run carjacking in Citronelle.

The crime happened around 6 p.m. on Monday. Officers said the victim was driving on Odom Road when another vehicle ran into hers. Police said she was then attacked by another woman.

"The one lady that violated me, she jumped on me and she had a knife in her hand," the victim told FOX10 News. "That’s when I realized I had to run."

Investigators said the victim tried to get back into the driver's seat of her car but the other woman followed and continued the attack. Police said the victim suffered cuts to her arm before her car was stolen.

The victim, who does not want to be identified, believes she was targeted before her car was taken.

"This car was sitting sideways in the highway and I tried to go around it and it spun up and nailed the side of my car causing me to hit the ditch," the victim said.

A witness who lives nearby called police after watching what happened in disbelief.

"Immediately the woman on the side of the road got out and started punching the one girl through her window," said Steve Jenkins.

On Tuesday, Citronelle Police identified five persons of interest connected to the case. They arrested three of them, Peggy Dykes, Michel Sasper, and Joshua Brown. Officers are still looking for three others, Mikey Dykes and Whitney Argo. Police said the suspects could be charged with theft and assault.

"I don’t have any idea what their motive was or what their intentions was, but anybody that would do something like that we want them off the street," Chief Tyler Norris said. "We don’t want them roaming the street."

Officers are also looking for the victim's car. It is a silver 2016 Nissan Altima with an Alabama license plate number 2BP6294.

The victim hopes to get her car back as she recovers from being battered and bruised.

"I’ve never been in a situation like this before and still sore today, I have knots all over my head," she said.
