Bishop State opening two new class sites


Bishop State is opening two new class sites in the Mobile area.

Bishop State will hold classes at the Semmes Training Center on Forest Street in Semmes beginning with the spring semester in January.

The school will offer general education courses, like, math, English and history, that will transfer to four year colleges and universities.

Bishop State President Dr. Reginald Sykes said, "The mission of community colleges is to be accessible. and, coming here, we will be accessible to residents here in Semmes."

Semmes Mayor David Baker said, "We're offering to residents and citizens of this community an opportunity to take a full time college course load at night."

Bishop State is also opening a class site in Theodore at the Theodore Oaks Shopping Center on Highway 90.
