MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - FOX10 News anchor Bob Grip was recognized with a first-of-its-kind honor Thursday night.

He was presented with the Jo Ann Flirt Distinguished Service Award by PRCA Mobile. Bob is the first person to receive the award which is named after the longtime director of Blakeley State Park in Baldwin County. It was created to honor a member of the community who has demonstrated distinguished service to the profession of communications for more than 20 years.

Bob will be retiring in January after more than 40 years in journalism.
