MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) -- A single mother no longer feels safe after her home was burglarized. It happened last Thursday morning in the Alpine Hills subdivision.
The suspect likely got inside the home using a crowbar -- he was seen carrying in surveillance video.
"I was at work and I had gotten an alert from my alarm system -- stating that my door had been left open," said the homeowner.
She quickly took out her phone app to see her home was being burglarized -- the suspect in her living room.
"And that's when I seen the suspect taking my television out of my home. I was like oh my God. Someone is in my house ... Because sometimes it will send a false alert. So to actually see it on my phone - I was running through my office saying someone is in my home. I called 911," recalled the homeonwer.
Mobile Police were dispatched, but by the time they would get there -- the suspect was gone along with a total 4 tvs, a couple of gaming consoles, laptops, tablets, jewelry, a microwave, even seen in the video taking her son's shoes on his way out the laundry room.
The single mother says she was robbed two years ago outside an apartment complex and thought moving to this home would be safer.
"To go through this -- that someone was in my personal space because I moved from that area into this home. This is my home - so I can't just up and leave. So to have to live there and know someone was in my space for that long -- it's just unbearable. It's scary to know the person is still out there," said homeowner.
You can change that -- notice in the video he has several tattoos on both arms and his neck. If you recognize him -- turn him into Mobile Police.
